My wife and I were in the market for a new bedroom set. After friends of ours showed us a set they had recently purchased, we saw a promotion for President's Day sales and decided to have a look. We met with Jo Ann upon our arrival. She was very pleasant and had a welcoming smile. After asking how she could be of assistance, she proceeded to show us the features of the different styles of hybrid memory mattresses. There was zero pressure to purchase anything, even as we made our way to the bedroom sets. We also worked with the manager, John, who takes great interest in making sure the customer's needs are met. As is customary with large purchases, my wife and I told Jo Ann and John we take a 24-hour step back to verify our decision. They were most gracious with our idea and hoped to see us again. We went back to the store the following day, found Jo Ann and John and proceeded to complete our transaction. The transaction was quick and the experience could not have been more pleasant. We were treated very professionally and, as such, we returned to the store two days later and purchased a new sectional couch as well. The store is clean and the staff are positive and courteous. Well done Brooklyn crew!!!
Today my wife and I decided it was time to stop procrastinating and final go and purchase some new family room furniture. When we arrived at Ashley Furniture in Brooklyn, Ohio and were greeted at the door by Darin. He stayed with us throughout the entire time that we were in the store and made sure that all of our questions were answered. (It was nice to have his attention throughout our experience) We looked at several different couches and he helped us to measure and talk through the dimensions and various set up options that were possible. He also gave his thoughts on sizing and design of the couch layout that would fit our family room appropriately. (Usually at other stores it would have been a card pass and let me know if I can help you...he had our attention) We really were in just to buy a couch but because of how helpful he and his manager John were we ended up leaving with a couch, ottoman and area rug. It was never the plan to get all of those items but we felt really at ease with Darin and he was able to put together a deal that we could not pass up. We were really pleased with the way that we were treated and honestly I probably would have been fed up with us because of all the running around he had to do and how many times we changed our minds. Darin did not bat an eye and even said "listen no need to apologize, furniture is a big decision that you are going to have to live with for the next 5-10 years....it is important that we get this right for you". I was sold at that point.... Keep up the good work Darin & John you earned our business today and I will be back for future purchases! Thank you and I would suggest asking for Darin at the door if you are looking to fulfill your furniture needs, you will not be disappointed!
Follow-up review: While the staff in the store is very helpful, Ashley's corporate office is terrible when it comes to resolving several problems we had with our orders. Overall rating for customer service is 2.
We came here on Friday to get a new couch and had Liz as a consultant. The minute we walked in, she greeted us and started off by asking what we wanted and how big our space was, and then took us around the store to show us everything that matched what we wanted. She knew what she was talking about, she was able to answer every question or concern we had (and we had a lot), and didn't rush me even though it took me over an hour to figure out what I wanted. We will definitely come back here for our next furniture piece, and will hopefully have Liz as a consultant again!
My fiance and I went to Ashley furniture for a new couch. Melissa was extremely helpful and found the perfect couch for our new home! We also walked out purchasing a new mattress, bed frame and headboard as well! Her and Joe were great to work with. They were professional and easy to work with.
Jason was very helpful the night we went to get our new mattress. He helped us make a decision that was great for us. He stayed later then the store closing time and answered all our question and listened to our concerns. I believe he helped us make the best choice. And was honest unlike most sales men I have encountered. Also the morning staff the next day were amazing due to the fact I left my cell phone in the store after closing the previous night. They followed the direction in the note I left and had it ready for me in the morning. Exceptional customer service. 100% Recommend.
